Motivations and domain specificity in intercultural adaptation : bloggers' experiences in their new host countries

The current qualitative study investigates immigrant’s intrinsic (internal) and extrinsic (external) motivations and how they surface in the intercultural adaption process. Additionally, it aims to answer whether immigrant’s adaptation orientations differ between private and public (life) domains by testing Boski’s (2008) IAFS model [the model of integration as functional(partial) specialization]. It is a fairly recent model of adaptation and only few prior studies have utilized it. Diplomdarba nosaukums: “Brīvās rotaļas izmantošana sākumskolas skolēniem pašvadītas mācīšanās sekmēšanai”. Darba mērķis: teorētiski izpētīt un analizēt literatūru, lai empīriski pierādītu brīvās rotaļas izmantošanas nozīmīgumu pašvadītas mācīšanās prasmes attīstīšanai sākumskolas skolēniem. Reciprocal Relations between Work-Related Authenticity and Intrinsic Motivation, Work Ability and Depressivity: A Two-Wave Study

This study investigates the role of context-specific authenticity at work for work-related outcomes (intrinsic motivation, work ability) and depressivity. Furthermore reciprocal relations between work-related authenticity and healthy psychological functioning are investigated. Longitudinal data from 1,243 employees from 63 subsidiaries of a non-profit organization in the social sector were analyzed using multilevel structural equation modeling. Work-related authenticity at T1 predicted work ability and depressivity, but not intrinsic motivation at T2, about 6 months later. Work-related authenticity at T2 was predicted by intrinsic motivation and depressivity, but not by work ability at T1. …
